After seeing several articles in Lowflying about Curborough sprints, the opportunity came to go on a 'private day'. This was organised via Blatchat with 10 Caterhams' going along. We all arrived without any hitches and congregated around the start/finish loop. After a walk round the track with the correct lines being pointed out, we got our trusty steeds ready. So off we went, one after another, with of course only one out on the track at once. Needless to say, things looked quite different low down and at speed compared to the walk round so lines were not quite as expected.
There were many locked wheels turning in for the second circuit. There were no major mishaps during the day apart from one car that mysteriously lost all oil pressure and had to be pushed back, by your truly. Then the oil pressure came back all by itself, most odd. Other than that, a great day out with some great pictures being taken by one of our number.. Words & Pictures Bob Howes
